Jill Scott is back with her first new solo record of 2026, and it's iHeartRadio's latest World Premiere.
On Friday, January 9, the revered soul singer shared her new song "Pressha" via Blues Babe Records. The track, produced by Adam Blackstone and Vincent "VT" Tolan, has Scott crooning about being romantically involved with a man who pursued her for years, yet felt the need to hide their relationship. She chose to walk away, but he couldn't resist coming back for more.
"I wasn't the aesthetic/I guess, I guess, I get it," she sings. "So much pressure to appear just like them."
"Pressha" is the second single from Jill Scott's forthcoming album To Whom This May Concern. The Grammy Award-winning singer announced her sixth studio album's release date last week and released the first single, "Beautiful People." Since then, Scott has revealed the diverse list of artists who contributed to her upcoming project, including Too $hort, DJ PREMIER, Tierra Whack, Trombone Shorty, and more. To Whom This May Concern is set to arrive over 10 years after her Woman LP.
Before dropping her second single, Jill Scott appeared on Angie Martinez's IRL podcast. The multihyphenated artist told Angie what she's been up to over the past decade, from raising her son to traveling the world. She also shared that she needed to live more to make her new album.
