Lil Baby has revealed a new release date for his second album of the year.

The Atlanta native previously told fans about his intentions to drop the follow-up to his WHAM album at the end of February. However, the target date came and went without so much as a promo about the project. Fans began to wonder about the status of his project so Baby decided to let people know the deal.

“The album dropping in eight weeks," he explained in a video posted on Thursday, March 6. "I had to push it back."

Lil Baby didn't explain why the album was pushed back. He announced the project shortly after he struck gold with his WHAM album in January. His fourth studio album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 140,000 units in its first week. The LP has 15 tracks including "Dum, Dumb and Dumber" featuring Young Thug and Future. He followed up a few days later with the deluxe version, which holds four more tracks. Following the success of the album, Lil Baby announced the plans for Dominique on Instagram.

"See yall again in a couple weeks," he wrote. "'Dominique' The Album 2-?-25."

As of this report, Lil Baby hasn't confirmed an exact release date, but you can expect to hear it in May. Dominique isn't the only project Baby is focused on. A couple of weeks after WHAM dropped, Lil Baby revealed his plans to release a joint album with Thugger and Pluto.

"There probably won’t be a me and Future tape anymore because Thug is back," Baby said. "So whatever it would be, it'll be all three of us. [And that’s] super exciting, because to me, those are two of the main people that I would say I look up to in the rap game. So to be able to spar with them, I feel like that's sharpened me up a whole lot."

Look out for Lil Baby's Dominique album dropping in May.
