Toosii is opening up about juggling his superstardom and his role as a father.

The rapper and singer paid a visit to Angie Martinez on Monday, October 7, to talk about everything from his new album JADED to his mental health. Midway through the conversation, Toosii, born Nau'Jour Grainger, touched on his ability to switch between being a popular artist and a committed father to his son, Ezrah.

“I jump into character… I gotta snap into character," he explained. "Nau’Jour is a dad who chills with his son. When Toosii kicks in, I gotta be a superstar—two totally different people.”

“Dad life is great," he continued. "I want more. I wouldn’t be surprised if I have more soon... I love my son. I want like 12 kids."

Toosii and his longtime girlfriend Samaria welcomed their first son together in 2022. Earlier this year, he revealed that Shaquille O'Neal sent an odd DM to Samaria after their child was born.

“One time this n***a dm Samaria and said ‘let me have that baby’ talking about my son. Weird ass old head,” he wrote on X in May. He also included a screenshot of the DM in a separate post.

Later on in the interview, Toosii discussed his new album JADED, and declared it's “one of the best projects all year.” The 13-track project is the follow-up to last year's NAUJOUR. It holds the lead single "F*k You Mean" as well as collaborations with Gunna, Kehlani and Muni Long. He recently dropped a deluxe version of the album earlier this week with two additional new songs.

“There’s been a lot of popcorn music… this ain’t fast-food. You can’t get this in no drive-thru,” he said. “I don’t like to have too many features, but I needed all three.”
