ABOUT CHUCK PURVIS:
Chuck Purvis is President and CEO of Coastal Federal Credit Union, $3.1B credit union that serves more than 255,000 members. He has 35 years of senior management experience with credit union organizations, including First Carolina Corporate Credit Union, the North Carolina Credit Union League, and U.S. Central Credit Union.
Chuck is the co-inventor of the Personal Teller Machine video banking system. He is a past advisor to the Filene Research Institute, past Chairman of the National Credit Union Foundation, a board member of the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation and the Co-Op Financial Services Board, an advisory board member to CUDL, and a board member of the United Way of the Greater Triangle.
In 2016, Chuck was named Businessperson of the Year by the Triangle Business Journal. He has also has been named Chief Executive of the Year from Credit Union Executives Society, and earned the coveted Herb Wegner Award from the National Credit Union Foundation, one of the industry’s highest honors.
